Welcome to Ledbetter's newest "e-training" series called Macro Counting Made Simple.

Over the next few days, we will teach you valuable secrets about how to count macros, maintain social life while still reaching your health and fitness goals, and lessons we have learned with 17+ years of combined experiences and coaching thousands of teammates over the last four years.

What are macros?

The word "macro(s)" is short for macronutrients, which are the three nutrients that our bodies need in large amounts in order to operate efficiently and optimally. These three macronutrients include: carbohydrates, protein, and fat. Macronutrients make up the calories in the food we eat, and provide your body with energy it needs to properly function.

Why count macros?

By counting macros, you are in control of what you eat. You can choose which foods you want to fit into your daily allotment of the three macronutrients. Similar to managing a financial budget, you have the flexibility to rearrange how many macros you spend on each meal in order to accommodate your life events and personal preferences.
